Unnamed Trout Worm Fly

Post by flyguy »

The one on the left (red/yellow) is the only one that I have tried so far. It is the fly that I caught the trout that posted the picture of in the "fly fishing in the area" forum. I will try out the others when I go fishing tomorrow. They all have ultra chelle bodies, a brass bead head, and a CDC tail. The red one has the tips of full CDC feathers and the other three have CDC tufts. They are all my variation of a fly for bonefish that I saw in the most recent issue of Eastern Fly Fishing called a "Trombone." The bouyant CDC tail helps prevent snags and the bead head gets it down to where the fish are.
